Well, other cruise lines also have plans to increase their current fleets, including MSC Cruises, which just announced it had ordered two more World Class ships.

MSC Cruises is the world’s largest cruise line and has a strong presence around the world. Now, MSC Cruises is getting a bit bigger — the cruise line ordered two more World Class ships to add to the four that have already been delivered or are under construction. The cruise line signed the order with ship builder Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Eventually, this shipbuilder will construct six ships for the fleet.

One of the new ships will be delivered in 2029, while the other will be delivered in 2030. According to a press release, “The ships will build further on the legacy of excellence and innovation established by the World Class, which combines the very best in environmental technology with the latest advancements in guest experiences.”

The two new ships will join the MSC World Europa and MSC World America, along with the upcoming MSC World Asia, which will set sail in 2026, followed by the MSC World Atlantic, which will set sail in 2027.  The MSC World America recently set sail in April 2025.
