Hey, Chewie!

So, how does one celebrate Star Wars Day? Well, we’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the day, more specifically Batuu, the Star Wars land in Disney World. Here, you’ll find all kinds of festivities, including special snacks and treats, and fans dressed in their finest Star Wars attire. Wanna see all the exclusive treats available for May the Fourth? Let’s dive in!

OK, Star Wars fans, buckle up. These snacks are available from May 4th until May 31st, 2025. There’s a LOT to talk about, so settle in and get ready for some FUN Star Wars snacks!

Let’s DO this!

OK, let’s start with a sweet treat. We tried the NEW Battle of Hoth Macaroon at Backlot Express, available for $6.49. This is a toasted coconut macaroon on a cookie decorated with buttercream, shredded coconut, and white chocolate. This treat looks pretty darn cute, but how does the taste compare to the presentation?

Battle of Hoth Macaroon

Obviously, this has a lot of coconut. That’s kind of the hallmark of a macaroon. The coconut shavings have that bite to them, and you get that chewy texture with each bite.

This is so fun!

Inside, there’s a chocolate brownie-like filling, which complements the coconut quite nicely.

YUM!

The coconut isn’t outrageously flavorful; it’s the perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and mild. We will also note that it was tricky to get the white chocolate, coconut, AND brownie-like filling all in one bite, but when you manage to get it all at once, those flavors blend perfectly. This was a fun little treat with a fair amount of filling. Give it a try if you like coconut treats!

Would you try this?

Up next is the new Sliced Eopie Wrap from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. This meal is $15.99 and consists of roasted pork loin, capicola ham, spiced broccoli rabe, provolone, and red pepper mulsauce wrapped in pita bread, drizzled with herb aïoli, and served with yuca fries. Oooh — you had us at fries, Disney!

Sliced Eopie Wrap

Great news! The fries were a WIN! They were quite crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Seriously — we were literally obsessed. They are thick-cut fries with a mildly spicy herb aïoli on top, and the sauce is what really elevates these fries from average to Y-U-M.

We LOVED the fries!

Now, on to the wrap. Sadly, we didn’t love this one as much as we hoped. The pita bread was similar to the kind used in Disney’s iconic Ronto Wraps, and did a good job holding all those toppings in place. The red pepper mulsauce is what threw us off, though. It was a little spicy, to the point that it threw off the balance of flavors for us. Luckily, the spiced broccoli rabe was a great addition to this dish. This ultimately reminded us of an Italian sandwich, especially with all the spiced meats and vegetables. Was it the best thing we’ve ever had? Probably not. But the fries really saved this meal!

The wrap was giving us Italian sandwich vibes

While we’re here at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, we have to check out the new Mythrol Orb, too! This one is a $6.49 crystal blue raspberry orb served with tart pineapple-passion fruit sauce and crunchy streusel. Intriguing, right?

Mythrol Orb

So, clearly, Disney’s description is pretty vague. What the heck is “crystal blue raspberry orb?!”

This is WEIRD

Well, asked and answered. This is essentially just blue Jell-O, or something Jell-O-esque, with a very distinct blue Powerade flavor (NOT to be confused with blue Gatorade…there’s a difference). Yes, we know the description says “blue raspberry,” but we were picking up more of a generic “blue blast”-y flavor in the Jell-O.

It’s Jell-O!

The tart pineapple-passion fruit sauce was excellent, though. We enjoyed that tart flavor at the end of each bite. Even the crunchy streusel (which reminded us of a graham cracker-like crumble) was a welcome addition. Try to scoop it all up in one bite — trust us on that one! On the other hand, though, if you’re not a fan of mixed textures, this could be a treat you should avoid. While the treat sort of led us to believe it was not 100% fresh (like maybe it was premade this morning), overall, we liked this dessert! It’s weird space food, and sometimes, all you need is a little weird space food.

This was a surprise!

Finally, we stopped by the Milk Stand for the Kessel Run Rations. For $5.99, you get flaky pretzel croissants sprinkled with smoked sea salt and served with caramel-chocolate sauce. It’s a unique, sweet, smoky-sounding snack!

Kessel Run Rations

When we saw the Cast Members pull these out to present to us, we braced for Anakin joining the Sith level of disappointment but were pleasantly surprised when we were wrong! They come as a set of 3 bites that do taste a little bit like pretzel, but it’s not an overwhelmingly vivid pretzel flavor and more like a super buttery croissant. We enjoyed the salt on top, but admittedly we will never not like the salt on top! Once you dip the savory bites in the gooey chocolate caramel sauces which leaned more towards tasting like Hershey’s chocolate sauce, we knew it was a dangerous combo.

Chocolate Caramel Sauce

After having our initial doubts about this treat, we’re happy to report that we most certainly would grab this one again — even if the caramel to the sauce was a bit lost in all the chocolatey flavors.

An intergalactic combination

If you were worried about the rations getting soggy when dipped into the sauce, fear not! This combo stood the test of time and gravity and we really appreciated how it clung to the rations rather than slipping off down the sides to create a sopping mess. We also wanted to reiterate that even though the rations might taste more buttery like a croissant, that doesn’t mean you should expect its texture to mimic one. As we bit into them they still held a consistency similar to what you would expect out of a fluffier pretzel bite and we were pleasantly shocked at how willing we were already to snag another!

May the force be with you, dear readers! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
