You already know we’ve constantly been raving about Epic Universe, and we’re back to keep raving about how GREAT it truly is!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic is everything we wanted it to be and more. From the theme, to the show, to the ride, TO THE FOOD — it’s amazing! We recently stumbled upon a hideaway bar in this version of 1920s Paris, and couldn’t pass it up.
We checked out the Bar Moonshine, which really was like a small hidden bar (seriously, if you aren’t looking, you could miss it). It’s located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic.

It really was pretty small in there — a counter and the drinks behind it took up the whole space.

They had some cool Harry Potter easter eggs and decorations on the inside!

The place has a limited menu, featuring specialty cocktails like the Fleur 75, Lobe Blaster, Philosopher’s Old Fashioned, Sherbert Lemon, and Gigglewater. They also had a few beers, wine, and whiskey available.

We decided to order the Lobe Blaster, which really caught our eye! It was $17.99, and it was described as “a potent mix of moonshine, limoncello, absinthe, lemon juice, club soda, and simple syrup garnished with a rosemary sprig and layered with an émulsion verte.”

The drink was very green, and it does have absinthe in it. The potion on the top was really cool, although it doesn’t really add much to the drink (we’re sure it’s just extra sugar). The drink was tasty — it was minty, lemony, and refreshing. It almost reminded us of like a palette cleanser in a way, or that feeling after you brush your teeth. It was THAT minty — but not in a bad way.

The rosemary is a nice addition to the flavors. The drink was pretty good, it was a little small but heavy at the same time. It also comes in a fun little stemless plastic cup that would make a cute souvenir. This drink seems to be pretty popular, we saw several people walking around with it. Then when we got it, we had others asking us where it was from!

If you do go to try it, just take sips at a time. This is not the drink that you gulp, just because it’s very potent. Use that time to sit down and chill, or walk around and take in the land. We might get this again, but there are also other things we’d love to try. For more reviews on all eats, treats, and drinks at Epic, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
