Next year, this attraction is getting a major upgrade to bring new experiences to the ride, and you’ll want to mark it in your calendar because this update looks incredible.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, for the first time ever, will allow the crew to be in control of their destinations. You heard that right, you get to pick where you’ll be heading!

Smugglers will be able to pick adventures through places like Coruscant…

There will also be a new Mandalorian and Grogu storyline where”Hondo Ohnaka has gotten wind of a deal going down on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and a band of pirates. There’s a generous bounty for their capture, so you’ll borrow the iconic ship and team up with Mando and Grogy to track them down and explore the galaxy.”

Other places to explore include Tatooine…

While visiting a loading dock on Cloud City, you can also see a Star Tours vehicle docking. Now that’s a cool easter egg.

Guests in the engineer positions will be able to communicate with Grogu during their mission. Dibs on that role!

These changes will take effect at Disney World and Disneyland starting May 22nd, 2026. Don’t head to the parks quite yet, we still have a year to wait, but we’re excited for this sneak peek. The Mandalorian and Grogu movie will premiere on the same day!
