It’s happening!

We finally just got a BIG update on the new Test Track redesign happening over in EPCOT. For a while now, Disney has stuck with their Summer 2025 timeline for reopening, but it’s been a second since we’ve heard some updates about the new version of the ride. All that just changed, because Disney just gave us a look at the cars’ new design!
In a new video from Disney Imagineering, we got a first look at what the Test Track cars’ new design is for the new version of the attraction!

Disney is reusing the cars from the previous Test Track ride, but the cars are getting new interior seating, new paint and wraps to make them darker to match their environment a little better, and new graphics.

Overall the new design is more subtle and the team leaned more towards and R&D version of the ride vehicles. In the comments section, fans are pretty divided right now — some think the new design looks great, while other feel Disney should be replacing the cars with all new ride vehicles and don’t like their “bland” design.

The video ended with the Imagineers telling us that more announcements and reveals will be on the way, and we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next!
