Cast Members are the glue that holds the Disney Parks together, and at Disneyland, there are over 36,000 employees.

There have been many lawsuits against the company from Cast Members, ranging from relocations to pay and many other reasons, but another lawsuit against Disney continues to move forward.
A former Disneyland employee has filed a lawsuit against the Walt Disney Company for wrongful termination.
The Fantasyland attractions employee says she had her phone turned on in case her son with intellectual disabilities had an emergency. She kept her phone nearby in case he had a violent outburst or she needed to monitor his condition.

In December 2023, management asked the employee about her phone. She said explained the reasoning and emphasized that she only checked it during breaks and not while operating rides. The managers denied knowing anything about her son’s condition and said she violated the park’s phone policy by having the phone turned on, so she was fired.
The lawsuit’s allegations include wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and failure to engage in the interactive process.

The case was originally filed in Burbank but transferred to Orange County because that’s where the decision to fire her was made.
We’ll be monitoring this and other news surrounding the Walt Disney Company, so make sure you’re following AllEars to stay informed.
