We recently stepped foot into the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, and it’s one of the prettiest hotels we’ve seen. Four words: floor-to-ceiling windows. Need we say more?
Helios Grand is one of the new hotels Universal built for Epic Universe and is attached directly to the park, with an entrance into Epic Universe for guests staying at the hotel. Besides the incredible rooms, there are also amazing dining options you can book now!
Helios Grand was originally supposed to open on May 22nd, the same day Epic Universe opens, but Universal surprised us and will now open on April 16th. Even if Epic Universe is not open yet, there are so many amenities to explore within the hotel.
Flora Taverna is a full-service restaurant at Helios Grand that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, there is a full breakfast buffet with Mediterranean comfort foods. There’s an amazing open kitchen, live cooking, a pizza oven, open grills, and a gyros station for dinner.
The whole atmosphere is bright and beautiful, and you’ll truly feel “grand’ while visiting.
You can start booking reservations for Flora Taverna now for dates starting on April 16th. Note that reservations are available on a separate website — NOT the Universal Orlando website.
Bar Helios is also available for booking starting on April 30th on Resy.
This bar is a full circle with 360-degree views. If you’ve been anxiously awaiting entering Epic Universe, you can see the park and all of the fun rides from the bar, so you can plan your next adventure before the park opens.
The menu features comfort food like burgers and sliders, salads, seafood, lamb and chicken gyros, tapas, and antipasto. Yum!

My wife and I made reservations for Bar Helios as soon as they were available on Resy. From everything we’ve seen it likely will be busy.We also made reservations for Flora traverna just in case,still waiting for blue dragon and Atlantic to be available.Lots of great choices.
