5 Secret Places Only Cast Members Know About in Disney World

We love sharing Disney secrets!

EPCOT

From 17 obscure secrets to lightning lane hacks, we love spilling the Disney tea! So now we’re sharing the secret places on Cast Members know about in Disney World.

Disney World Cast Members make the theme parks run! All day and all night, there are Cast Members constantly working to make the parks come to life with our favorite rides, foods, and entertainment. The resort is massive so it takes a lot of people to run it and guests don’t even see the entirety of Disney World, so we decided it’s time to give a peek into what the Cast Members see.

Cinderella Castle

We’re starting with a more common one that people know about, and it’s the secret tunnels under Magic Kingdom! The Magic Kingdom tunnels are technically the first floor of the park and the park itself was built on top of them.

The tunnels were designed to help keep the park theming consistent and to help Cast Members get around the large park more quickly. We have several former Cast Members on the team who have all taken a peek inside the tunnels, and it’s less than glamorous.

It’s a peek behind the curtain which is really cool, but at the end of the day, they’re just cinderblock tunnels. The official name for the tunnels is the Utilidoors, but we promise the park is much cooler. Our next secret spot is actually in the Utilidoors too!

Main Street, U.S.A.

Did you know there are secret Subways in Disney World? You read that right! Disney World does work with a few chains like Starbucks and previously McDonalds, but they also work with Subway! They sit behind the scenes for Cast Members to grab their meals and hang out.

Gaston’s!

As we mentioned, there is a Subway in the Utilidoors at Magic Kingdom. There’s also one in Hollywood Studios right behind the Disney Jr. Play and Dance (I saw Fancy Nancy in the Subway once!)

Another cool place you won’t see as a guest is Disney Costuming! Disney Costuming is located in several parks throughout the resort’s property and it keeps Cast Members in uniform no matter where they’re working.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Most Cast Members have a few different locations, meaning they have a few different costumes! These warehouses are huge and house almost anything you could need from shoes to accessories, and, of course, uniforms.

Looking to go shopping? Another Cast Member-only spot where you can find them is called Cast Connections. Cast Connections is one Cast Member perk where you can go shop for Disney merchandise and even food at majorly discounted prices.

Cast Members can buy the orb sodas at a discount!

We’ve spotted pins, Minnie Ears, and even the Galaxy Edge orb sodas at a big discount. For many Cast Members, this is one of the best secret spots to go to in Disney!

Finally, the secret spot you might actually spot in Disney World is over in EPCOT! The World Showplace Pavilion is in the back of the World Showcase next to the Joffrey’s in Canada. For most of the year, this event space is closed off to guests.

World Showplace walls!

It’s not so much a secret but it is rare to see this spot open. We’ve seen it open for rare character meet and greets, specialty events, and more!

These spots were some of our favorite places to hang out in Disney World while we were Cast Members and we’re weirdly craving a Subway Sandwich now! Don’t forget to keep following AllEars for more Disney secrets.
