When you’re visiting Universal Orlando, there are a few hard truths about unspoken dress codes everyone abides by when they’re visiting the park.
There are a lot of exciting things coming up for Universal Orlando especially since we just got a sneak peek into one of the most ambitious rides Universal has built yet. But while we wait until our time to venture over to the newest Wizarding World at Universal’s Epic Universe, learning to dress the part will make it even more immersive for you!
Just like there are a set of guidelines to be followed when practicing magic, potions, and spells during your studies at Hogwarts, there are another set of rules us Potterheads tend to follow.
And like the wizards and witches that shop in Diagon Alley before starting their next year to prepare for school you could find yourself doing a double take of everyone around you if you’re not dress for your Wizarding World best.
While several of our suggestions for these unspoken rules for the dress code at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter lands at Universal Orlando might seem a bit obvious there’s a few others we’ve sprinkled in (think of it like magic) that will help set you apart as an expert and not a novice in your skill. Let’s take a closer look at everything we’ve noticed you need to plan to wear on your next visit to Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and soon enough the Ministry of Magic!
Obviously, House Robes are an entry level must!
Show off your Hogwarts house pride with your own set of robes (just at a huge discount online than from what you will spend in the park on them). Plus, if you buy them in advance, you’ll have time to practice holding all your things while walking around in a robe you don’t typically wear in the everyday muggle world.
While visiting the Wizarding World, a proper wand is a requirement!
Unless you’re really set on picking up an interactive wand at the park, we’ve got an alternative to offer you that looks just as great! While it doesn’t work with the interactive elements around the park, it DOES light up and you can adjust the brightness of your “spells”!
You might find it hard to believe, but when that weather dips for those cooler nights, you’re going to wish you had a matching house scarf!
These house scarfs are the perfect accessory for those who want a little extra flair AND don’t mind a way to stay a bit cozier during those cooler winter nights! Plus, they’re so fun that you can even pair them with your everyday wear and get more use out of them than when you’re just in the parks.
