Now, who doesn’t love a good meal at Disney World?
There literally might not be anything better than getting to enjoy a delicious meal at Disney World after all that running around and playing we tend to do at the parks. Now, we now know food at Disney World tends to be top tier, however, there are times where our dining experiences are, shall we say less than magical? So we thought we’d reach out to you and get your takes. Well, we asked, and you delivered!
We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “What is the WORST meal you’ve had at Disney World?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!
Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!
San Angel Inn
First up, we’ve got our reader Susan who said, “San Angel. It did not taste good, and the wait staff only came to our table to deliver the food. Never to check on us to see if we needed anything. Maybe they were short staffed.”
We’ve all been there, Susan. Now, dining under a starry sky inside the Mexico pavilion feels enchanting, but it’s a tough sell when your meal disappoints you and the wait staff are no where to be found.
Via Napoli
Next, we’ve got Kerrey who didn’t hold back, saying, “Via Napoli in 2021. The pizza was one of most mediocre I’d had in a long time (frozen would have been better), and our server was cold and it seemed like he hated his job. Won’t be back.”
As with Susan’s example, when your dining experience is less than stellar, it’s easy to understand why one wouldn’t recommend a particular restaurant let alone go back to it.
Space 220
Next, we’ve got Karen who shared, “Honestly, Space 220! We loved the restaurant theming and the fun of it! But the food was awful! All of it…even the menu is not grand! Having said that, we were happy to have been able to experience it. We won’t again.”
Space travel may look cool, but in Karen’s experience, it doesn’t have that five star taste. At least she enjoyed the vibe, but it sounds like it’s now on that “been there, done that” list.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
Chelsea didn’t mince words, “Sci-fi drive in. We were walk ins so we didn’t get a cool booth which was fine but the bbq was dry, couldn’t find our waiter the whole time to get any refills and just not memorable.”
Sure, Sci-Fi is an iconic Disney dining spot, but dry BBQ and vanishing servers are enough to make anyone’s mood go from retro fun to modern frustration.
Steakhouse 71
Next, Jen shared that she had high hopes: “Very sad to report it was at Steakhouse 71. I was so looking forward to it. What I ordered, Prime rib sandwich, came out so fast I am relatively sure it was a reheated plate. The sandwich was dry and hard, the fries stale. The server never really stopped at my table to ask, she ran past and said ‘you okay?’ but didn’t wait for an answer. I was anticipating it so much because my first visit was wonderful. I won’t be back.”
When the hype doesn’t match the dining experience, it definitely hurts. That goes double when it’s a resort restaurant as well loved as Steakhouse 71.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Next, Jennifer mentioned, “Roundup Rodeo. 😢 Although the biscuits and pepper jelly were amazing and the cast interaction was so fun and the atmosphere was top notch, the food left something to be desired. So it was probably a one and done for us.”
As we can all agree, theming and fun can only go so far when the main entree isn’t the star.
Connections Café
Next, we’ve got Pat who shared, “The pizza at Connections Cafe. Their burgers are some of the best on Disney property, so I was shocked to find the pizza to be the worst I’ve had in my life….not just at Disney, but anywhere.”
Pat, we’re so sorry for your loss, especially when considering how delicious you’ve found their burgers to be at the same spot. Here’s to hoping that the next slice you get on the property will be a more elevated experience.
Coral Reef
Lastly, Chris shared, “Coral Reef was the worst meal we’ve had in WDW. The entire experience was bad. Service wasn’t good, food was okay at best. Our table seemed to be shoehorned in between two other tables when there wasn’t quite enough space, so it felt like we were eating with two other tables. We’ve not been back to the restaurant since.”
Well, dining with a view of an aquarium sounds like a cool concept. That is so long as you don’t feel like you’ve been stuffed into a sardine can and the food is delicious.
Well, those were just some of the worst meals you’ve ever had at Disney World, and now we want to hear even more from you! In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!

What is the WORST meal you’ve ever had at Disney World? Tell us all about it down in the comments!
We had one of our best meals ever at Roundup Rodeo BBQ. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere fun.
I would agree with the Coral Reef. Very disappointed and the bummer was it was during the Food Festival and instead of spending the money on a little bit of everything and enjoying the different countries we went spent the time at a sit down meal that was not even subpar.
Ive eaten at Space 220 several times and its fantastic
