This little perk disappeared.
Disney’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party just concluded its 2024 run. While the seasonal event was well received as usual, there was something… missing. Specifically, it was the small bonus poster that was previously given out as a free gift.
In previous years, a small poster was given to guests as they were leaving the park.
The poster was in-line with items that Disney has given out at the end of other after-hours party events, including the Holiday-themed coasters that were given out at the end of last year’s Jollywood Nights events…
… as well as a small ornament that as given out as guests left Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
It remains to be seen if the lack of the poster at the end of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party translates over to this year’s installments of the Very Merry Christmas Party (which begins on November 8th) and Jollywood Nights (which starts the following day, November 9th).
We would hate to say these kinds of small freebies disappear from the after-hours party. While not a headline part of the draw, they did add to the overall feeling of specialness associated with events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. How do you feel about Disney cutting the free poster perk from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Let us know in the comments below.
My observation, though I could be wrong, was that the free snacks were eliminated from this year’s MNSSHP. During COVID, there were all kinds of Disney snacks and bottled water/soda given out. The next time, it was very limited, and this time, I was told that no free snacks (like popcorn) were available this year. It was disappointing for the price paid that not even popcorn was available as a perk. For the price paid, it was a bit of a disappointment. The entertainment was awesome as usual.
I went to 2 Halloween parties in different years and the Xmas party and was never given a departing gift
Oh no! That’s so weird. I wonder if you somehow walked past them. I’ve gotten all of the gifts since 2019 at least.
The Xmas ornament wasn’t a parting gift. You had to take that path to the right of Main Street (they’re calling it Market Street) to collect your ornament. It was only available until 8pm.
On the same note, I’ve also been to Halloween parties and dont remember ever receiving a poster. We usually leave after the park closes so maybe they ran out by then.
The poster was for the 50th anniversary only. Many have said there was NOT a posted given in previous years.
Then they should have lowered the price of the tickets.
