It’s not often when weather closes down parts of Disney World, but it does happen.

When there’s a storm in the area (even if it’s not directly over Disney World), all of Disney World’s outdoor rides will close. We’ve also seen parks close due to tropical storms and hurricanes. Now that Hurricane Helene is set to make landfall soon, one Disney World park will be closed tomorrow.
Typhoon Lagoon and Disney World’s miniature golf courses will be closed tomorrow, September 26th, as Disney monitors Hurricane Helene. At present, the rest of Disney World is operating with its regular hours, but as the hurricane progresses, that could change. If you visit the Typhoon Lagoon page on the Disney World website, you’ll notice that there are no hours listed for tomorrow.

In addition, Disney has also canceled the Savor the Savanna, Up Close with Rhinos, Walking with Giants, and Wild Africa Trek tours tomorrow.
We’ve been carefully following the progress of Hurricane Helene, which is expected to make landfall on Thursday. The previous tropical storm was recently upgraded to a hurricane and currently has wind speeds between 74 MPH and 110 MPH. The storm’s trajectory has it arriving at around 7PM on Florida’s Gulf Coast on Thursday evening. The hurricane’s probable cone has it proceeding through parts of Georgia and Alabama. However, areas outside the cone can also see dangerous weather.

Residents of Florida, including those in Central Florida, should expect tropical storm conditions. That means Orlando could be in for some heavy winds and rain after the storm makes landfall. As always, you’ll want to keep a close eye on the weather for the area if you’re visiting during this time. Disney World will also keep guests informed if anything changes with park hours or closures.
We’ll also be keeping an eye out for more details, so be sure to check back with AllEars again soon for more.
