Why You'll Want to Be in Magic Kingdom at 1:30PM on Thursday

As Disney experts, we’ve come to expect the unexpected in the parks.

Whether that be a surprise celebrity sighting or a rare character out meeting and greeting guests, you never fully know what to expect when you step foot inside a Disney theme park! Now, something exciting is coming to Magic Kingdom this week…and it’s extremely rare!

On Thursday, August 29th, the Lake Mary Little League team will celebrate its Little League World Series Championship at Magic Kingdom! The group will have a special parade just for them starting at 1:30PM. How cool is that?

Just like their professional sports heroes, these young athletes will get to wave to thousands of visitors as they make their way down Main Street, U.S.A.

Lake Mary is the first team from Florida to win the Little League Baseball World Series in its 77-year history. This year, they defeated Chinese Taipei 2-1 in a championship game in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Sunday, August 25th. Look at the smiles on those faces! Winning isn’t everything, but it sure is sweet…especially when you get to celebrate at Disney World.
