Ride vehicle testing continues at Universal’s Epic Universe!
We’ve been keeping a close watch over the construction happening at Epic Universe and with all the latest updates on the last confirmed land to join the park, a nighttime show coming, and Universal starting to roll out height requirements for some of its rides, it begs the question of just how soon could some of these rides and full lands see completion?
Now that each of Universal’s Epic Universe lands have been announced it’s hard to choose exactly which one you plan to visit first. However, if you’re someone who just felt drawn to one of the lands with roller coasters you can’t wait to see in motion, you won’t have to wait much longer on a few!
While checking for progress updates on the construction that’s ongoing at Epic Universe we ran across a few that we found to be quite interesting! @bioreconstruct captured a quick video of a running coaster train at Curse of the Werewolf inside Dark Universe.

This ride is announced as being a family-style spinning coaster inspired by The Wolf Man and its storyline will take you deep into the woods of Darkmoor.
Universal says riders “will enter the encampment of The Guild of Mystics where they’ll be greeted by the Maleva, the guild’s all-knowing seer and leader, who warns them that they bear the mark of the werewolf.” When this coaster was last spotted testing its ride vehicles, it was still within a rumored phase prior to learning the ride (and land’s) full details.
Additionally, something else was spotted that piqued our interest in this area. If you’ve been a long time fan of Universal Studios Florida you might remember seeing these statues of Gill Man of Creature From The Black Lagoon, Frankenstein (technically Frankenstein’s monster), and The Wolf Man on display outside of the now defunct Monster’s Cafe.
These ginormous statues were spotted in a staging area (and hilariously sporting the same iconic look they had before they and the restaurant were removed in 2022 to make way for Minion Land and specifically Minion Cafe).

We actually got more than we bargained for here because we were also able to spot a train in Hiccup’s Winged Gliders roller coaster which will be located in How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk. What struck us as interesting here is that it was noted each train has a different color dragon figure in its front.

These are certainly cool details to spot and we are interested to see what more testing will be done with each of these rides as construction continues and eventually gets to a completion of each one.
