We may be talking more and more about fall and Halloween, but we are still in the midst of hurricane season in Florida.
Hurricane and tropical weather season typically runs between June 1st and November 30th, so it’s not time to stop talking about it yet. We keep a close eye on the hurricane predictions and activity given out by the National Hurricane Center, and it seems that a bit of pop up activity in the Atlantic Ocean may have potential for tropical storm development this coming week.
According to the National Hurricane Center, in the next few days, an area of disturbed weather in the central tropical part of the Atlantic Ocean may interact with an approaching tropical wave. This interaction may set the stage for a tropical depression to form. Currently, there is 40-60 percent chance that the tropical depression may occur.
As of July 28th, the 2 day tropical weather outlook depicts that Florida may see the result of this development. At this point, a hurricane is not in the forecast, but this may lead to a lot of rain hitting Florida.
Rain in Disney World is certainly not uncommon, especially in the summer, but this could mean even more rain than usual. We recommend taking an umbrella, poncho, or both with you in the parks this coming week in case this does result in lots of rain.
We’ll be keeping an eye on this development over the next few days, so check back to AllEars for more details!
