Have you heard of Disney World‘s Rapid Refill Mugs (or Refillable Mugs)?
These bad boys can be a serious deal for folks staying at Disney World hotels who consider themselves to be beverage aficionados since you pay one price for the mug, and get refills for free during the length of your stay. But, these have only been available in the hotels…until now.
A Rapid Fill Mug (or Refillable Mug — the terms are used interchangeably in Disney vernacular) is an insulated plastic coffee mug with a lid. The mugs typically have a handle, though Disney has offered handle-free versions over the years. We LOVE using these on our trips, but there’s one common complaint people have about them… they can only be used at the hotels — NOT the parks.
So, imagine our surprise when we were strolling through Disney’s Animal Kingdom the other day, only to find a sign for a refillable mug! Of course, we had to investigate, and noticed that Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe was selling a stainless steel, reusable, Stanley-tumbler style, refillable mug!
Here are the details:
- Pick up a refillable mug at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe (the quick-service version of the restaurant)
- Each mug is $31 for the initial purchase, but it’s refillable ALL DAY for free!
- Bring the receipt back (or take a picture of your receipt to show) on future park days and pay $2.12 for all-day refills.
Keep in mind that this is only available at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe and nowhere else in Animal Kingdom, or the rest of Disney World. Yak & Yeti is owned by Landry’s instead of Disney, which is why they’re able to offer this refillable mug while no other spots in the parks can!
If you plan on spending a lot of time at Animal Kingdom, this could be a great deal for you, or if you’re just looking for a unique souvenir you’ll actually use again.

Steel or plastic?
Does it have to be refilled only at Yak n Yeti, or anywhere in AK

Can you also use them at the Rainforest Cafe in Disney Springs? They are also owned by Landrys.
