Disney World Currently Under Tornado Watch and Expecting Severe Weather

Severe weather is making its way through Central Florida this morning, so if you are headed to Disney World today, you will want to pay attention to the updates.

A Rainy Day at Animal Kingdom

Strong thunderstorms, damaging winds, the possibility of hail, and the possibility of tornados are currently in the forecast.

Be careful out there this morning if you are headed to Disney World, as severe weather is currently moving through the Orlando area. The largest impacts come from strong winds and hail, but the area is also under a Tornado Watch.

A Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom

The Tornado Watch is in effect until 11AM EST on Wednesday, May 15th. There are currently patches of heavy rain and thunderstorms moving through the area. It looks like the bad weather is quickly moving out of the area, but be careful if you are traveling.

Disney World could be impacted by storms

It never hurts to pack rain gear and maybe an extra set of clothes if you are heading to the parks. While the parks operate rain or shine, be prepared for some ride closures (particularly the ones that are outdoors) and the possibility that some Cast Members will be moved indoors during lightning.
