NEWS: Disney’s ‘Moana 2’ Will Be in Theaters THIS FALL!

As Disney fans, we’ve been SUPER excited to tune in to the February 7th earnings call.

As the first quarterly earnings report of 2024, we expected to get news pertaining to exciting new park updates as well as revenue improvements compared to 2023. We were also hoping for other fun news, and right before the earnings call began, we got just that!

Disney shared that this fall, Moana 2 would land in theaters!

This is super unexpected, as we were expecting a Moana series next. Back in 2020, Disney announced that a series would continue Moana’s story. In 2023, Disney announced that a live action Moana was in the works as well. 

So, we were a bit surprised, but SO excited when Moana 2 was announced. Oh, and we have specifics. It’ll be in theaters in NOVEMBER. November 27th, to be exact! 

According to Variety, the story follows “Moana, Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
