If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this time of year, you are probably hoping for some sun and warm weather. Believe it or not, though, that’s not always the case.
While it is known as the Sunshine State, temperatures do drop down this time of year. In months like December, it can get pretty chilly. Sure, you might not see snow (although you could see SNOAP), but it gets cold enough that Disney shuts down its water parks. That’s the case with Disney’s Blizzard Beach for three days!
From December 18th through December 20th, you might notice that there are no hours posted on the Disney World website for Disney’s Blizzard Beach. The water park will be closed on those days due to the colder weather.
Blizzard Beach is set to reopen on December 21st, with its hours currently listed from 10AM to 5PM. So, the weather should warm up enough for the water park to open if you had Blizzard Beach in your Disney World plans this week. However, this is subject to change.
