Sometimes, some of the BEST Disney World advice comes from those who were once right at the center of all the magic.

Yes, we love getting advice from Cast Members! These folks know the ins and outs of the parks like the back of their hands, and they tend to have little tidbits of knowledge that even your most seasoned Disney World pros might not have. People ask us all the time for advice when it comes to meeting CHARACTERS at Disney World. Luckily, a few of the former Cast Members on the AE team were Character Attendants and are here to help us out.
Without further ado, here are four character dining tips from a former Character Attendant. Let’s go!
If a character misses your table, don’t fret!
Throughout dining experiences, the characters walk around to each table and greet guests one by one. However, there are instances where they accidentally miss a spot.

Rest assured, this is totally an accident. Just find a Cast Member in a blue shirt OR your server, and they’ll ensure that you meet EVERYONE.
This is the BEST place to snag autographs.
If you’re hoping to snag a LOT of character autographs at one time, a character dining experience is the place to do it!

Just leave your autograph book and pen or marker on the edge of your table to make it a quick and easy process.
Stand up for photos!
Standing up for the photos will allow you to get better shots with the characters.

This is totally optional, though, and won’t offend the characters either way.
Go to buffets one at a time.
If you’re at a buffet, don’t get up for food all at once! Have a few folks stick around so that if a character comes by, there will be someone at the table.

This is a great way to avoid getting skipped!
And there you have it! These are a Cast Member’s BEST tips for dining at a character restaurant. We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along!
