EPCOT fans, it’s been a great news day for you!
Disney already announced the opening date for Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, when the Figment meet and greet is coming, and information about the new fireworks show. But now, a huge change has been announced for an iconic EPCOT ride!
Soarin’ is a popular ride located in the Land pavilion in EPCOT but in September, it’s going to change.
Disney is bringing back Soarin’ Over California for a limited time! This was the original version of Soarin’ before it changed to Soarin’ Around the World in 2016. We can smell the oranges already!
The original version will return on September 22nd, 2023 when the 100th anniversary celebrations kick off in the park. There is currently no end date, however, the celebrations are currently set to end at the end of 2023.

Very happy the original soaring is coming back! We will be at WDW in November
What good news!! The original California Soarin’ is SO much better than the current version. It’s not so loud as the newer version, and has fewer ‘duck for cover’ startling moments. As such, California Soarin’ is more like a true glide over gorgeous scenery than a jerky, wanna-be thrill ride.
