Wait, Did This Airline Just Make Flying 10X Better?

As exciting as it is to go on a trip, traveling can be a headache sometimes.

Delayed or canceled flights, busy security lines, lost luggage — a lot of things can create a less-than-ideal travel situation. If you’ve ever been stuck on a plane with a child having a meltdown, you know just how disruptive it can be. But what if I told you one airline is testing out a way to alleviate that problem for some of its guests?

According to USA Today, Turkish-Dutch Corendon Airlines will be testing out “Adult Only” zones on flights starting in November. These flights, which run from Amsterdam to Curaçao, will have a section in the front of the plane with 93 standard seats and nine XL seats reserved for those 16 years of age and up.

In this section, walls and curtains will separate these passengers from the rest of the plane so that those without children who want to travel in a quiet environment are better able to do so. This option will cost an extra 45 euros (roughly $49) per person for a standard seat or an extra 100 euros (roughly $108) per person for an XL seat.

Corendon Airlines also believes this will “have a positive effect on parents traveling with small children” since “they can enjoy the flight without worrying if their children make more noise.”
