We know there are lots of feelings surrounding special events as a whole. Even though they can be a lot of fun and have low wait times many ask if they are worth the price. We totally get it and that’s what got us thinking about the events that ARE worth it. So, we asked our readers to share their thoughts on which event they feel is most worth it.

As we said, there are a lot of thoughts when it comes to Disney World after-hours events. It really became clear when we headed to our Facebook page to ask…

1. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (Magic Kingdom)

Coming in at the top spot, many of you felt that the Halloween party was the event that was worth the most!

A lot of your comments expressed enthusiasm about the event due to its unique Halloween experiences, such as the headless horseman in the Boo to You parade.

Here’s a quick rundown on the Halloween party: Basically, it’s a special ticketed event held at Magic Kingdom during the Halloween season. It provides guests with the opportunity to celebrate Halloween in a festive and spooky atmosphere. The party has lots of entertainment, such as Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show, and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular on the Castle Forecourt Stage.

You get to go trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom, collecting candy and treats from different locations. And many Disney characters are dressed in Halloween costumes and are available for meet-and-greets with guests! You’re also encouraged to wear your own Halloween costumes to join in the fun.

The Halloween Party typically runs on select nights from August to November, and ticket prices vary based on the date and if you’re an Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club member. If you get a ticket to the party, you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM on the day of the event, even though it officially starts at 7:00 PM.

2. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (Magic Kingdom)

Next up, many of you believe that the Christmas party is firmly in the second spot.

Here’s a quick rundown on the Christmas Party: It’s a special ticketed event held at Magic Kingdom during the Christmas season. It provides guests with the opportunity to celebrate the magic of Christmas, holiday decorations, towering Christmas trees, and captivating wintry entertainment. The party has lots of entertainment, such as “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration” stage show,  “Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade,” and “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show.”

Meet beloved Disney characters in exclusive character meet and greets, groove at the Club Tinsel dance party at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, and enjoy the Disney Junior Jingle Jam in Storybook Circus. You’ll also get complimentary cookies and hot cocoa in locations scattered throughout the park to keep your spirits high. And don’t miss the specialty holiday-themed overlays on some of the Magic Kingdom rides.

3. Hollywood Studios After Hours Events

Well, someone had to place third, and after hours at Hollywood Studios was that event.

Some of you really enjoyed this one and felt that the limited wait times made for some great experiences for your family.

Here’s a quick rundown on the Hollywood Studios After Hours: Like the previous two, it’s a special ticketed event held at Hollywood Studios from January to April. It provides guests with the opportunity to experience various attractions with minimal wait times, so think of rides like Alien Swirling Saucers, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Toy Story Mania!, and more.

Complimentary snacks are a part of the experience (i.e. ice cream, popcorn, and select bottled beverages) and they can be found at different carts scattered throughout the park. There’s also entertainment that you can enjoy like The Wonderful World of Animation show, hosted at the Chinese Theatre, Disney Movie Magic, and Fantasmic!

The After Hours events typically runs on select nights, and ticket prices vary based on the date. If you’re an Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club member. If you get a ticket to the party, you can enter Hollywood Studios as early as 7:00 PM on the day of the event.

4. Epcot After Hours

Last up on this list in the fourth place are the after-hours at EPCOT.

Although opinions were divided, some of you found value in this event for reduced wait times on rides. However, concerns about food placement and limited ride availability contributed to its fourth-place position on this list.

Let’s do a quick rundown of the EPCOT After-Hours Event: Just like the others on this list, it’s a special ticketed event that provides access to popular rides, entertainment, exclusive treats, and the like.

Test Track

Some of the rides that are available during the After-Hours Event are Frozen Ever After, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Soarin’ Around the World. You’re also treated to complimentary snacks throughout the night, featuring unlimited popcorn, select bottled soda, and iconic Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars and Sandwiches. These treats can be found at various locations within the park.

As we said, entertainment is also part of the package. DJs provide lively music in World Discovery, and you might catch a performance by Mariachi Cobre in the Mexico pavilion. Also, character meet-and-greets and Disney PhotoPass opportunities add to the fun.

While there have been other events, overall, you felt these four stood out above the rest, which reminds us that ultimately it’s up to you to decide if the extra expense is worth it. Shorter lines and exclusive treats could make your day, but we’ll leave that up to you to decide.
