There are lots of different ways to get around Disney World.

You can take the Skyliner, the Monorail, and even walk some paths between resorts and parks if you don’t want to take your own car or a rideshare, just to name a few. For a while, Disney buses have gotten a bad rep. And hey, we get why, but there are also some great reasons why you may WANT to take a Disney bus around property.
They’re Consistent
If there’s one thing Disney buses are, it’s consistent. And we don’t necessarily mean with the times they’re set to arrive and depart (those can change a bit), but even in bad weather, the buses will run.

The same can’t be said for the Monorail and Skyliner, as both will shut down in bad weather (yes, you could be caught up in the sky with lightning flashing all around — not fun). You can always count on a Disney bus to get you where you need to go, even if you’re caught in a torrential downpour.
Naps
Yep, naps are much easier to take on Disney buses than other transportation.

Come on, so many of us have been there — you’re taking the bus back from the park after a long day. It’s quiet, it’s dark, and BAM, you’re asleep. Depending on where you’re traveling to, it can be a 20-30 minute bus ride, which is a great time to catch some z’s no matter what time of day it is.
Air Conditioning
Disney buses also give you MUCH better AC than other options!

Skyliners have plenty of airflow but no AC, Monorails have AC, but it’s not the best, and the ferries are definitely a no-go. So if you’re looking for the best AC on your ride to and from wherever you’re going, Disney buses are the way to go.
You Can Rest Longer
We all know park days are tough on the feet, and having breaks is very important. If you choose to take a bus to your next park, you’ll have a longer chance to rest your feet.

Since bus rides are much longer than other transportation options (yes, even boats most of the time), it means you’ll have longer in the air-conditioned space where you’ve (hopefully) got your own seat to rest.
They Can Be Less Crowded
Since Disney buses are almost everyone’s least favorite form of transportation, it means they’re likely going to be less crowded than other options.

Now, this isn’t the case for Animal Kingdom, where there’s no other way (than car or rideshare) to get to the park, or for many resorts that only have this transportation option. But if you’re leaving a park with multiple options like Magic Kingdom, it could be shorter than the Monorail or Ferryboat lines.

So if your only option is to take a Disney bus, don’t despair! It’s got a lot of perks many don’t realize. As always, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
