This Should Be ILLEGAL in Disney World

We’re about to report a series of crimes in Disney World.

We’re calling the police!

That’s because so many people visit Disney World and do things that just simply should NOT BE DONE (or they don’t do things that MUST be done). So we’re going to call out ALL of those things because as far as we’re concerned, these things should be illegal.

Not Getting Cheese Sauce with Corn Dog Nuggets

If you go to Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom, your first crime would be ordering something that is NOT Corn Dog Nuggets. These little nuggets of joy should at least be a must-have snack on your trip.

Let’s get some corn dog nugs!

But what really should be illegal is not ordering a cup of Cheese Sauce (aka “Plastic Cheese” like our friends at Disney Food Blog say) with those Corn Dog Nuggets. You won’t know true culinary joy until you’ve dipped a Corn Dog Nugget into that cheesy goodness (that may or may not even contain real cheese).

Not Riding Living With The Land

Are you one of the many Disney World visitors that always skip Living With The Land in EPCOT? Sure, it might not sound like the world’s most THRILLING ride, but it’s actually a lot of fun, especially when you need to get off your feet and relax in Disney World. In the process, you get to learn a lot about the food you’ll probably be eating throughout the day in EPCOT.

Living With The Land

We might forgive you for skipping Living With The Land if you make sure not to skip your favorite ride. Life is too short: even if you visit Disney World often, ALWAYS ride your favorite ride. If it sparks joy, RIDE IT.

Leaving Your Popcorn Bucket In Your Hotel Room

If you buy a popcorn bucket in Disney World, do you stash it somewhere in your hotel room and never look at it again until you get home? If so, you’re missing out on a great way to save $$$ on snacks!

That popcorn bucket (which comes with a handy strap that you can just place around your neck) can be used for cheap popcorn refills (we’re talking $2!) THROUGHOUT Disney World. You bought the popcorn bucket — use it!

Only Eating Burgers, Fries, and Other “Theme Park” Foods

If you go to Disney World and you only eat burgers, fries, and other kinds of theme park food (yes, that includes Turkey Legs), you are committing a crime and should go to jail! Disney World has restaurants with world-renowned chefs — and several have even been recognized in the Michelin Guide.

If you don’t want to do fine dining at Disney World, though, you’ll still find counter-service options that are unique to Disney World. We’ll never turn down Cheeseburger Pods (basically cheeseburger flavors in a Bao) or unique spring rolls. But you can also get a variety of other delicious and unique foods not available at other theme parks. So don’t order just burgers and fries.

Not Getting Pixie Dusted

Disney World is a magical place, and if you don’t participate in one of the most magical experiences there, you’re missing out. If you go to Sir Mickey’s, a gift shop near Cinderella Castle, you can ask a Cast Member to pixie dust you. It’s totally free! You’ll be told to make a wish and a special wand full of Tinker Bell’s finest pixie dust will be sprinkled on your head.

Getting pixie dusted is for kids AND adults

Yes, it’s glitter. Yes, you will find glitter everywhere for DAYS, but every time you see that glitter, you’ll remember the experience it came from.

So none of these things are technically illegal in Disney World, but we hope we’ve given you some NEW ideas of things to do to make your next trip even more special.
