The Newest McDonald's Menu Item Packs A Familiar “Punch”

Hang on McDonald’s lovers, we may be headed for a shake-up!

Part of what has made McDonald’s, well…McDonald’s, has been its core menu. We’ve seen variations to these core menu offerings through new secret sauces, adult happy meals, and even nostalgic seasonal offerings. However, this newest item is looking to shake up the golden arches menu with a twist on a familiar flavor.

We’re gearing up for summer and with that comes the heat. McDonald’s has rolled out a new slush offering with a classic flavor. The new Frozen Hawaiian Punch has been popping up around the fast food chain’s offerings recently and they’re looking to keep it growing.

If you’ve never had Hawaiian Punch as a drink it’s got a pretty distinct fruity flavor, some may even say familiar. McDonald’s has based their menu offerings for years on familiarity and the philosophy that no matter which of their restaurants you’re visiting around the world you will still experience the same tastes (and smells).

This isn’t the only frozen offering that we’ve seen from McDonald’s though. They also have frozen drinks in flavors like Coca-Cola and Blue Raspberry.

Offering this drink as a frozen option gives the company a chance to upsell their drink offering with combo meals, and even market it solely as a treat giving us another reason to stop by their restaurants when we may not be as hungry for a full meal.
