Gone are the days of needing to purchase multiple services just to get those snapshots of you and your Disney crew having a blast.
In the past, guests have had to purchase attraction photo downloads, either individually or with a package like Memory Maker, that allows you to download all the attraction and PhotoPass photos for one lump sum. Now, if you have Genie+, that’s totally unnecessary!
Disney previously announced that a change was coming to Genie+ and PhotoPass downloads in the parks. Now we know that starting March 20th, guests who have purchased Genie+ will receive attraction photos FOR FREE.
Specifically, Disney has shared, “guests purchasing Disney Genie+ service will…receive digital downloads of their Disney PhotoPass attraction photos, taken in the park on the day of their purchase, at no additional charge.”
On-ride photos are available at several spots including Space Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, Test Track, and Expedition Everest.
This is great news as this could save families some cash during their Disney trip. It’s also a little extra incentive to purchase Genie+ and skip all those long lines! Sounds like a win/win to us.

Originally they stated it would only be attraction photos for free. Is this now including any photo pass photo?
So I just called Disney and was told by a cast member that it is ONLY ride photos not photo pass locations like Cinderella castle! I had already purchased memory maker for my upcoming trip so I needed to clarify that so we aren’t wasting money when we buy genie+ on top of the memory maker
