It’s a big day for Disneyland news!

Earlier today, we got confirmation on the timelines and details for Tiana’s Palace, a restaurant that we learned would be coming to Disneyland at the D23 Expo in 2022. Now, we have news about another project that was originally announced at D23.
Disneyland officials have confirmed that construction has begun on the previously announced Big Hero 6 theming that will be taking place at the current Pacific Wharf in Disney California Adventure.

In a statement to reporter Scott Gustin, Disney shared, “Pacific Wharf in Disney California Adventure Park will be reimagined to San Fransokyo from ‘Big Hero 6’. Work has started to bring San Fransokyo to life, and we look forward to sharing more details at a later time.”

The first big step is happening today, where draining of the lagoon will allow for construction to officially begin. Not many details have been released yet on a date or what will be coming to the new land, though Disney did confirm that Baymax would be featured.

I hope this land is finished by the time I get back out there from the East Coast. Big Hero 6 is a movie that I had no interest in when it hit theaters but when I saw it on TV I fell HARD IN LOVE WITH BAYMAX! I now have several outfits, a backpack, Baymax socks and a few Pop Funko! figures. Looking forward to this for sure.
