Pirates of the Caribbean Closes for a LONG Refurbishment in Disneyland

The only thing worse than going to Disneyland and seeing that your favorite ride is closed is not knowing about it beforehand!

Disneyland

Although we miss them while they’re gone, Disney Parks rides close periodically for refurbishment so Disney can ensure that the attractions are in tip-top condition (and you can ALWAYS keep in the know on what will be closing from our Refurbishment and Closure calendar!). There are a few popular attractions scheduled for refurbishment, and an entire land is getting an overhaul, so there’s a lot to keep up with in Disneyland right now.

Pirates of the Caribbean is closing today, March 14th for a fairly lengthy refurbishment.

Currently, Disney does not have an exact reopening date listed, but instead has shared that the attraction will open in “early summer 2022”.

  1. It was my second favorite ride. I am coming may 20th of 2022. I sure hope it’s open. Been 26 yrs waiting to get back to Disneyland. First time to California Adventure

  2. Definitely one of the most intricate and beautifully crafted rides in the park- it is one of the crown jewels of the true Disney Magic- when artistry, fantasy, and story were still important.

  3. I don’t get why they couldn’t just refurbish this ride and any other ride while the whole park was closed during the pandemic.
