PHOTOS: New Exhibit Features ‘Titanic’ Necklace, Loki Horns, and MORE!

If you’re into Disney history, costuming, and artifacts, you have probably already visited the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California.

Most recently, the museum hosted the “Inside the Walt Disney Archives” exhibit, which featured props, costumes, sketches, and more from Disney movies, theme parks, and more. And now a new Walt Disney Archives exhibit is coming to the museum and we’ve got a first look at it.

The All That Glitters: The Crown Jewels of the Walt Disney Archives features jewelry and accessories from Aladdin, Titanic, The Princess Diaries, and more from Disney and 20th Century Studios. And we got a sneak peek during a media event.

The exhibit will have three sections: one that details how jewelry helps tell stories, one that showcases some of the most prized jewelry and accessories from the Archives, and a display that includes the connections that certain earrings, tie pins, cuff links, rings, and more have with Disney parks and films.

We even had a chance to see the glass slipper from the live-action Cinderella.

Today, the museum is hosting its annual fundraising event during a Candlelight Dinner that includes VIP access to the exhibition, as well as special performances.

The exhibit officially opens to the public at 10AM on December 12th. Tickets will be sold at a limited capacity in hourly increments. Becky Cline and others will be on hand at 1:30PM for a panel discussion and book signing in the Norma Kershaw Auditorium.

The exhibition runs through June 19th, 2022 and will include other public programs throughout its stay.

• March 5th: The Women Artists of Disney – A Fusion of Fine Art & Animation: Presentation & Book Signing with Mindy Johnson Tickets
• May 20th: Outdoor film screening of The Princess Diaries Tickets
• June 17th: Outdoor film screening of The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

And if you’re a Marvel fan, you’ll get to see some pretty cool items from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Dr. Strange’s Eye of Agamotto…

…and even Loki’s horns!

And heads up for you Titanic fans — the exhibit features the famous Heart of the Ocean necklace worn by Kate Winslet in the film.
