Disneyland’s new Annual Passholder program, Magic Key, is finally here!
Magic Key passes went on sale just a few days ago and we’ve been bringing you the latest on the different membership levels, blockout dates, and even a breakdown of how to use your Magic Key pass. And, now it’s time to take a look at all the perks that come along with being a member!
Disneyland transitioned all former Annual Passholders to “Legacy Passholders” last year when they announced the discontinuation of the passholder program as we knew it. And, there were still quite a few perks associated with being a Legacy Passholder like discounts on select food and merchandise, special photo ops, and more. And, many of the same perks have returned, plus MORE — let’s break it down!
When you purchase your Magic Key pass, you’ll have access to a new Magic Key Portal in the Disneyland app where you can find all of the perks and updates you need for your visit.
Right now, there are some “limited time” perks available for those who are part of the inaugural group of Magic Key members. This includes a Magic Key Holder Launch Experience, which will open September 1st through October 30th from 12-6PM at the Starcade in Tomorrowland…
…plus there are TWO special Magic Key holder photo opportunities, with a Mr. Toad Magic Shot available behind Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Park…
…and a Hocus Pocus Photo opportunity exclusively available at Oogie Boogie Bash near Silly Symphony Swings. In the app, you can learn more about each offering so you have all the details before you head into the park!
And, there’s another location that is available only for Magic Key holders in the parks — Magic Key Terrace! Located in Disney California Adventure, this newly reimagined lounge serves up a “nostalgia-themed” menu and only Magic Key holders can stop by for a drink during the day.
Plus, there’s a ton of other benefits available throughout the parks including a Magic Key Popcorn Bucket that will be available from early September to November 10th…
…a special month-long celebration of Magic Key holders (though the month has yet to be announced), and an opportunity to receive 2000 bonus points when registering with Disney Movie Insiders before October 30th.
But, that’s not all! Magic Key holders also have access to special embroidery options at select locations, special experiences and collectibles, discounts at participating locations in the Downtown Disney District, exclusive merchandise, novelties, and menu items, AND they’ll be among the first to be able to access new offerings like merchandise collections.
Inside the Magic Key Portal on the Disneyland app, there are also some new features that are meant to enhance your visit to the park, like audioscapes of popular attractions…
…and some extras including an interview with Chef Jose Ruiz (who created the menu at Magic Key Terrace)…
…and some fun personality quizzes and trivia!
So, if you’re already a Magic Key holder, you can learn more about all of these perks and be the first to access them inside the Disneyland app!
And, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for additional Magic Key holder perks and more, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
