Waiting in long lines is not exactly our favorite pasttime.

Universal Studios offers the Express Pass as a way to skip lines — but it comes at a cost. So is it worth the extra expense? We asked our readers on the AllEars Facebook, and here’s your responses!
We’ve talked about Universal’s Express Pass before, and it can cost upwards of $100 to up to around $200 per person during peak times. If you stay at Universal Studios hotels such as Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, and Portofino Bay Hotel, you can get complimentary Express Passes during your stay.

We asked you, for your thoughts on Express Pass, and we received quite a few responses! Julie G said, “Definitely worth it!!! But I get it staying on property, I haven’t paid extra for it.”

Richey F. noted, “Express is a great value when bundled with the premiere hotel stay. Otherwise it’s just too expensive. If you’re only going to the parks one day and it’s a busy day, then maybe it would be worth it, but otherwise I’d recommend standing clear.”

Roberta S. said, “We liked that there were no assigned time slots and no limited amount of usage.”

Robert M. told us, “It is the most significant difference between Universal and Disney. And it is amazing.” Maria H. said, “Diehard Disney fan, but that Express Pass makes it hard to not have a better experience at Universal!! 100% worth it!!”

So there you have it! Many of our readers believe the Express Pass is worth it, especially if you stay on one of three properties that gives complimentary passes. We did this experiment ourselves, which you can check out in the AllEars video below!
While we wait for Disney World to bring back their FastPass+ system, we have to wonder whether they plan to introduce a new program similar to Universal’s Express Pass. Stick with AllEars for all your theme park tips and tricks

Absolutely! I love the express pass at Universal. I’ve gotten it with the hotel stay and I’ve also paid extra for it. It just really depends on the timing. I would absolutely love it if Disney did something like it. It is the one thing Universal does better than Disney.
If there is no limits, what about us ? the people than we can’t aford hotel or fast pass we keep on waiting till the fast goers get tired of jumping on the same?
I chuckle mightily when people say Express Pass at Universal is great and they’re glad it is included when staying at Universal hotels.
They are paying for it, that’s part of the price of their already overpriced hotel room.
It is not a “Free” benefit.
