Last fall, the Star Wars Trading Post opened in the Downtown Disney District in a temporary location drawing travelers from galaxies far, far away.
We learned last week that the store would finally be getting a new home at the West end of Downtown Disney and there are now more details! As part of their Valentine’s Day celebrations, Disney announced an opening date for the new location!
The new Star Wars Trading Post location will open on February 19th in the Downtown Disney District just a few days after Valentine’s Day! The new location will become the go-to place for all things Star Wars and will feature tons of details from the galaxy. The design of the store is inspired by a hidden Resistance base in the jungle so you’ll be shopping with the good guys.
Galactic travelers will be able to find odds and ends from the Star Wars planets. With items like the Paddy Frog light-up sipper, the new Baby Yoda inspired streetwear collection, and even the Batuuan Spira gift card, you’re sure to find something to spend your credits.
Now that we have an opening date, the only remaining question is — where exactly is this new location in the west end? It looks like you’ll be finding this resistance hideout in the former home of Rainforest Cafe!
