Patrick Dempsey Confirms He's Coming Back for Disney's 'Enchanted' Sequel!

How many new movies and TV shows are coming to Disney+? Oh, just about a HUNDRED. Yeah, you heard that right. Disney actually plans to release more than 100 NEW original titles each year.

And with all the news about the new Ahsoka Tano show, and those trailers we got for the Marvel series, you might have forgotten about another movie that was confirmed for Disney+ — Disenchanted! Enchanted is finally getting its own sequel and one of the original film’s MAJOR actors just confirmed he’s coming back!

We wished on a star and all our dreams are now coming true. According to Us Weekly, Patrick Dempsey, who played Robert Philip in the original Enchanted, will return for Disenchanted alongside Amy Adams!

In speaking with Good Morning America on January 14th, Dempsey said “I just got the script for the second movie…Then I’m starting to go through and get notes together.” He also noted that “There’s talk that we’ll start shooting that in the spring, which is exciting.”

Dempsey also talked about how amazing Amy Adams was in the original film and said “It was a fun project to be a part of.” Disenchanted joins a whole host of other new films and shows announced recently by Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel.
