NEWS: Disney Announces More Layoffs Within Its Television Division

A few months ago, Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced that the Walt Disney Company would be undergoing a massive restructuring.

The changes are meant to move the company in a direction that focuses more on its direct-to-consumer services, including the company’s streaming subscription offerings Disney+ and Hulu.

As a result, the company has seen major leadership changes within its television division. Today, Deadline reports that some members within that group are now being laid off, including ABC Entertainment’s Head of Current Series Programming Vicki Drummer, ABC Entertainment’s EVP Programming Strategy Head Andy Kubitz, and 20th TV EVP and Business Affairs and Operations Head Dan Kupetz.

Those leaving 20th TV include Jennifer Gwartz, whose position as EVP of Comedy and Drama recently went to Carolyn Cassidy, as well as head of comedy Cheryl Dolins.
