As Disney continues to make changes around its parks and the company, D23 will be seeing a shift soon too!
While many guests join the exclusive fan club for the benefits and the chance to attend the expo, your family members can also receive perks with the newest membership plan coming soon.
On January 1st, 2021, D23 will be introducing a new Gold Membership Duo Plan that will allow friends and family to share D23 benefits as a part of a package deal.
The new plan will allow D23 members to add a second person called an “affiliate member” to their account for the same price as a D23 Gold Family Membership. So, this means that the Gold Members on the Duo Plan will receive two D23 Gold Memberships, two personalized certificates, two member cards, and access for both D23 Gold Members to take part in exclusive experiences and events.
However, the Gold Membership Duo Plan will only include one annual Gold Member Collector Set and one annual subscription (made up of 4 issues) to the Disney twenty-three publication. These will be sent to the primary member on the account.
While new members can take advantage of the Gold Membership Duo Plan, existing D23 Gold Family Members can transition to the new plan at no additional cost through the remainder of their membership term! Plus, they can choose to automatically renew to the Gold Duo Plan afterwards.
It’s important to note, however, that Gold Family Memberships will no longer be available for purchase or renewal beginning next year. D23 Gold Members can also upgrade for a fee to the Gold Duo Plan in January as well.
As more details are released about the new membership from D23, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the details you need to know!
