Since Disney World announced their reopening dates, we have known that they would be implementing a new advanced reservation system for guests to use once the parks reopened.

While Disney has not yet put this system in place, they have started preparing for it with new additions to the website!
Disney World’s Annual Passholder calendar now has added new language to the site, confirming that their “reservation system will be launching soon.”

The new update may also answer a question that many Passholder have had about blockout dates. Currently, the same blockout dates are still listed for each pass, which may be an indication that blockout dates will not be getting lifted for those that are blocked out for the summer months.

While Disney has not confirmed this, we will keep you updated with any further developments for Annual Passholders, as well as the upcoming reservation system!

So I lost half of March, all of April, May, and 9 days of June and get back the hottest months of the year and they are blacked out. My pass expired June 9 so I asked for my money back. Disney just lost me as a passholder. Over the years, I have seen the deterioration of passholder perks, but extending my pass only to then be blacked out is totally unacceptable and unfair.
I’m not fully informed yet, but I can’t see myself making any vacation plans to Disney that leave me in limbo of getting a “reservation” to visit the park, with or without my annual pass. If Disney thinks people are going to pay to travel and stay at their resorts without being able to visit their parks during the complete visit, they better wake up and rethink this one. I’m predicting annual passes will see the worst renewal percentage ever since it appears they are no longer a true “pass”.
