Disney+ Release Guide 12/15-29: A Special Date for The Mandalorian, New Episodes of High School Musical, Jeff Goldblum, New Films, and MORE!

Prep for your holiday binge watching! We’ve got the release schedule for Disney+ from December 15 to 29! The schedule already finds us saying a temporary goodbye to The Mandalorian and The Child as the first season comes to a close. But, don’t worry, new films are being added to the library, new series are making debuts, and a new original film is also premiering in time for the holidays.

Though Disney+ is only a few weeks old we are accustomed to episodes for its series being released on Fridays. The Mandalorian will have a special Wednesday release day — with that episode coming on December 18, two days before the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The December 18th episode of The Mandalorian will include a special look at the new film.

December 18: Chapter 7
Special Date — and sneak peek at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

An old rival extends an invitation for The Mandalorian to make peace. This episode will include an exclusive sneak peek at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, in theaters everywhere on December 20.

December 27: Chapter 8
Season Finale

The Mandalorian comes face-to-face with an unexpected enemy.

December 20: Episode 107 – “Thanksgiving”

A rambunctious Thanksgiving “cast party” at Ashlyn’s ends with surprising news for Gina, while Miss Jenn and Mr. Mazzara accidentally spend the holiday together at East High.

December 27: Episode 108 – “The Tech Rehearsal”

When the cast and crew unexpectedly need to find a new location to “tech” their production, Carlos secures a spooky theater downtown, forcing Miss Jenn to confront old demons.

December 27: Episode 108 – “Fiddler on the Roof”

Eighteen years after students from Katella High School in Anaheim, California performed the Broadway classic “Fiddler on the Roof,” the cast returns to reprise the roles of their youth with the help of Broadway professionals.

December 20:  Episode 107 – “Bikes”

Jeff Goldblum pedals through the world of BIKES as he investigates this transportation transformation and the future of mobility. From witnessing jaw-dropping stunts of BMX riders to visiting the cutting-edge facilities of Specialized Bikes, Jeff investigates how this old mode of transport is heading in new directions. He commits himself to discover what bikes truly mean to their owners.

December 27: Episode 108 – “RVs”

Jeff Goldblum rolls into the RV capital of the world to investigate the unique mode of transport and the lifestyle that goes with it. He witnesses the RV Summer Super Show; tours an RV manufacturing factory; and rides with a family who has chosen to live permanently on the road. Through it all, he ponders the conflict between our need for stability and desire to roam free.
