A Christmas Tree With No Ornaments?! Let It Glow to Debut at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney!

It comes without tinsel, it comes without tags, it comes without ornaments, boxes, or bags… but it’ll still knock your socks off with an explosion of light and color! Meet “Let It Glow”, Downtown Disney’s dazzling new holiday display!

Starting on November 22nd, the Downtown Disney Promenade is going to turn into a Yuletide Rave, as glowing Christmas trees light up the night!

These fluorescent firs come in blue, pink, green, yellow, and orange, with sizes ranging from four to fifteen feet! They get their glow from UV black lights placed strategically around the landscaping, and are so bright that they don’t need ornaments or string lights to shine!

Not to say they’re bereft of accompaniment, of course. Disney has supplemented their luminous landscaping with halos of glowing light suspended from the park’s ficus trees, as well as holiday topiary and hanging planters to provide some more traditional festive foliage. It’s definitely interesting to see Disneyland take this approach, rather than simply copying the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail on the east coast. It’s definitely worth a stop while you enjoy Disneyland’s holiday celebrations!

What do you think of this new holiday display? Do you want to give it glowing praise, or is the Christmas Kitsch cramping your style? Let us know in the comments!
