Way over yonder in Disney’s California Adventure, a restaurant sits on columns above the man-made body of water, Paradise Bay and beside a pier, which coincidentally is named Paradise Pier. In this dining establishment you will find oceanic theming and princesses. Here at Ariel’s Grotto, guests select an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert from a fixed price menu.
I’ve been several times prior to the Grotto being taken over by princesses. Back in my day, Chip and Dale, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy dressed in nautical attire and mingled with diners when not leading a conga line. Ariel hung out in the lobby until Eric came and whisked her away. She is a mermaid, afterall.
Once you step inside the restaurant you either take the staircase or elevator downstairs. Dining is available indoors and outdoors.
