New RFID FastPass Testing First Hand Report!
Posted onStarting May 1 and continuing through May 15, Magic Kingdom will be conducting a test of Disney's FASTPASS. During this period, certain guests will be selected prior to their arrival to participate. (You cannot request to participate in the test program while visiting the parks.) Participants in this test will be able to select a FASTPASS itinerary based on their preferences, then will receive an email confirming the itinerary. These guests will be given a FASTPASS card to use at select Magic Kingdom attractions. The card uses the same sort of radio frequency (RF) technology found in credit cards, Bluetooth phones and WiFi, but is NOT valid for admission to any theme park and cannot be used to enter resort rooms. It is only valid for use on the date(s) and at the times and attractions listed in the email confirmation.

New Fantasyland Openings Announced!
Posted onDisney announced a clearer timeline for when the next major openings of the New Fantasyland will occur. The second phase of Dumbo the Flying Elephant will open in July 2012. Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Gaston’s Tavern, and Ariel’s Grotto will open in time for the holidays. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train won't open until 2014.
