Star Wars Day at Sea Cruise

Nearly one year ago, Disney Cruise Line announced a new experience for 8 sailings this year on the Disney Fantasy: Star Wars Day at Sea. Held from January 9th through April 16th, 2016 on Western Caribbean cruises, many benefits were touted. Those benefits included character meet and greets, special food offerings, and celebrity insiders and autograph sessions. This is a review of the first sailing of Star Wars Day at Sea.

Star Wars Villain Kylo Ren Arrives at Walt Disney World and Disneyland

Starting in February, Kylo Ren, the dark warrior from the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens, will be making appearances in the Star Wars Launch Bay in both Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World and at Disneyland. A leader of the First Order, seeking to destroy the New Republic, the Resistance and the legacy of the Jedi, Kylo Ren will meet visitors on the bridge of his First Order Star Destroyer.

Metal Detectors Installed at Walt Disney World Theme Parks

Walt Disney World has added metal detectors at the entrances to its theme parks as part of new security measures. Initial reports are that guests will be selected randomly for screening with these detectors. The parks have also added special canine units and uniformed security guards to patrol the property. Similar measures are expected to be put in place at Disneyland Resort in California.

Season of the Force: Star Wars Launch Bay

This week, Disneyland debuted a brand-new celebration of all things Star Wars--Season of the Force. Taking place in Tomorrowland, a Star Wars retheming has been given to several of the locations there, including the Carousel Theater... n addition, Star Tours--The Adventures Continue has received a new adventure on the planet Jakku with some debuting characters from the upcoming film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
