Updates to the Disney Wonder

AllEars.Net had the opportunity to visit the Disney Wonder while it was in port in San Diego. In September and October of last year the Wonder underwent a dry-dock period in Spain that made significant changes to the kid's spaces, the adult entertainment district and converted the Parrot Cay restaurant into Tiana's Place, in addition to replacing carpet, furniture and other general upkeep. Lee Zimmerman shares his observations during his first chance to see the re-imagined ship.

New Holiday Offerings Bring a Flurry of Fun to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

There will be a "Flurry of Fun" at Disney's Hollywood Studios this holiday season. In addition to the new, previously announced "Sunset Seasons Greetings" projection show along Sunset Boulevard, the park will feature: -- enhanced holiday decor around Echo Lake, with extra-large ornaments, colorful garlands and a giant Christmas tree centered on the water. Even Dinosaur Gertie will be dressed for the occasion with a dino-sized Santa hat. -- the addition (just for the holiday season) of all-new songs from Disney's new animated short "Olaf's Frozen Adventure," to the show For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at the Hyperion Theater. -- a banquet filled with holiday cheer and the joy of the season from Nov. 6-Jan. 7 at Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine. Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, Donald and Goofy will be at lunch and dinner. To make a reservation, book online at disneyworld.com/dining or call (407) WDW-DINE. -- Santa Claus at the Once Upon a Time shop, Nov. 9-Dec. 24. Santa will be at the shop daily to greet guests and listen to holiday wishes. Santa Goofy will step in Dec. 25-Dec. 31 after Old Saint Nick returns to the North Pole.

Frozen Ever After: What parents need to know about Disney World’s newest attraction

"Frozen" is one of Disney's most successful character franchises ever, but its instant popularity seemed to come as a surprise to the company that struggled to catch up with merchandise, attractions and other ways for fans to interact with the characters. Over the past two-and-half years, Anna, Elsa and Olaf have worked their way into the hearts of children, who could not get enough of "Frozen." Many parents, however, reached their saturation point much sooner. This week, however, the first attraction based on "Frozen" opened at Walt Disney World, and the excitement drew crowds that were willing to wait in five-hour lines. That's a lot of indulgent parents!
