IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth to Be Replaced by All-New Show in 2019!

Walt Disney World has announced that after nearly 20 years, "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" will end its run in the second half of next year. "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" is planned to run until the end of summer 2019. It debuted in October 1999 as part of the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration. The Disney Parks Live Entertainment team is currently creating a new show that will debut immediately following the conclusion of "IllumiNations," to continue the tradition of nightly entertainment on World Showcase Lagoon.

After Fireworks Dessert Party Coming to Magic Kingdom

Starting May 28, the Magic Kingdom will offer a new After Fireworks Dessert Party, held at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant immediately following the Happily Ever After Fireworks. The new offering, which is $69 for adults and $41 for children, includes fireworks viewing in a special area in the Plaza Garden, and an array of all-you-care-to-enjoy desserts and savory snacks.

Ferrytale Fireworks Cruise Returns in December

After a hiatus due in part to the closing of the Magic Kingdom's Wishes fireworks, Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise returns beginning Dec. 1. The floating dessert party will be held aboard the General Joe Potter ferryboat on December 1, 3, 8, 10 and 15, nights that coincide with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The holiday cruise will feature the fireworks spectacular and special seasonal desserts, such as holiday cookies and peppermint cheesecake, as well as hot cocoa with a variety of toppings. In addition to desserts and drinks, this event also offers activities such as a Glow-in-the-Dark Scavenger Hunt, where you'll search for Hidden Mickeys throughout the Ferryboat. When the fireworks begin, you'll receive a special pair of "Mickey Vision" viewing lenses. After December, Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise will then be held on Fridays and Sundays through January 28, 2018. The event will begin one hour and 15 minutes prior to each evening's fireworks at Magic Kingdom, leaving from the Transportation and Ticket Center. Price is $99 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 9 (tax and gratuity included). There are Annual Passholders discounts for the holiday cruises available by calling 407-WDW-DINE; Disney Vacation Club Members can receive a discount by calling Member Services. Ferrytale Fireworks can be booked by calling 407-WDW-DINE or online.
