Construction Update: Gondola Spotted at Disney Skyliner’s Hollywood Studios Station!

Walking past the new Disney Skyliner station at Disney's Hollywood Studios today yielded a little surprise -- we noticed a Skyliner gondola, all wrapped up and waiting for deployment! Construction on the Skyliner has been underway for several months, with no completion date having been announced beyond "sometime in 2019". When finished, the Skyliner will connect Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot to a number of Disney resort hotels: Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and the currently-under-construction Riviera.

Earlier this year, Disney released news on a new Disney Skyliner transportation system that will give resort guests an unforgettable journey and a picturesque view of Walt Disney World Resort as they take to the sky to travel from select Disney resorts to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Today, the Disney Parks Blog revealed new details on what you can expect from the Disney Skyliner system.

Disney Skyliner, New Minnie Vehicles to Transport Guests Around Walt Disney World Resort

A brand new transportation system is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort. Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts just announced that the Disney Skyliner will soon give guests a bird's-eye view of the entire esort. The transportation system will connect Disney's Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts and other locations with Disney's Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot.
