Had 2 villas, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom. 2 bedroom the pull out sofa was broke. The 1 bedroom, where I did the cooking for 12 was missing a lot of items from the kitchen. Was put in a handicapped villa and was told the only difference was the shower. This room was completely different. Was not happy with room. But this is still our home away from home.

Pros:

resort is beautiful

Cons:

missing items in kitchen

Review of Chefs de France - Lunch/Dinner

Had dinner Fri 1-11-13 at 8:00 pm. When approaching the hostess at podium, I asked her to say my name and time in French, as I knew my daughter would be excited if I did. The hostess refused to speak French to me and made a point to respond in English. Weird. She also did not smile at anyone. The man who called our names piped up though and said I spoke French quite well. He was very nice.

On to the waiter: he was distracted the whole time. There were only 2 of us and he barely stopped at all at the table. When he handed us out dessert menus, he actually had his back to us holding out the menus behind him while talking to the people at the table next to us! Lol! Omg how lame.

Ok so mediocre food not very French at all. The only French thing on menu was escargot. I had tenderloin and it was tender I can say that, cheesy potatoes ok and thin frozen green beans were plain and tasteless. My appetizer was a simple salad. Daughter had macaroni and cheese was ok.

1 dessert, little piece of cake with 1 raspberry, 1 glass of wine, 2 coffees. Bill was 105.00. Not worth it at all, will pass this one by next time.

Pros:

Pretty restaurant

Cons:

Staff , mediocre food, not worth $$$ boring menu

Party of 17 had a great time. We thought food was delicious, entertainment a lot of fun, atmosphere great for family. Kept adults and kids alike well entertained. It was our first Hoop De Doo Revue but everyone agrees that it will be a must do each time we visit Disney World. We used two TS per person on dining plan and were seated midway back on main floor. It was a lot of fun.

Review of 'Ohana Dinner

We had a table for 15 and a fantastic experience. We all loved the food, the atmosphere, music, games, etc. Our waiter was excellent--the kind found on cruise ships that want the diner to be happy. He even noticed one of the children was not eating and offered to bring him a plate of chicken nuggets and fries, which he quickly did and a huge plate at that, which was enjoyed by all the children. He kept the food coming from beginning to end. We were at a long table in the middle of the room with windows. We liked the party atmosphere. We felt like we blended in well with all our children and we all 15 of us had a great time. We will make 'Ohana a must do destination from now on. I think the bigger your party the more fun it is.

Review of Behind the Seeds - Epcot

Did this tour back in October with my mom and sisters (yes we're all adults). I had wanted to check it out for a while but would always forget until going on the Living With The Land ride. Then our day would usually already be full and we wouldn't have time for it. Not this time! I remembered and made reservations ahead of time. I'll say I always really love the boat ride and this tour goes along with it really well. You get to walk through all of the greenhouses, see more of the plants that are in the back that can't be seen from the boat very well, feed the tilapia in the fish section, and get a better idea of everything that they do in those EPCOT greenhouses.

I knocked down the rating a point just because it would be nice to see some newer technology on the tour. It's still the same stuff that I remember them discussing on the boat ride for years.

The price is great and the length of the tour is also a big plus. You can do the tour and learn a lot of new things in less time than it takes to wait in line for Soarin! I highly recommend this tour to anyone whether you are a gardener (I'm not), someone who thinks plants are cool and tasty (I guess I fall into this category), or just someone who has to unwillingly accompany their family/friends. It's informative for those who love it and short enough for those who hate it.

Pros:

price, length, information

Review of Victoria and Albert's

We had dinner in the Queen Victoria room late October 2012. In addition to the meal we elected to have the wine pairings...

The food portions are small, yes, but that does not mean you will leave hungry. Considering there are precisely 13 courses you will in fact wonder how you manage to eat it all. I could go thru and give you each course from our personalized menu, but that would not give this meal justice. What I can say is that with the conclusion of each course, I was watering at the mouth, craving the next. The selections were diverse to the familiar filet of beef -- of the highest quality may I add-- to the unfamiliar as poached ostrich egg which was equally delicious.

Each table is tended to by two staff members to see to it that no detail is left out. The ambiance of the restaurant exudes romance.

The wine pairing was an excellent addition, although I must caution that they are VERY generous with the pours. The pairings start small with white wines; however by the end of the meal you will have drank the equivalent of a bottle and a half EACH! Those small white portions turned into very large full, robust red ones as the evening progressed. Although we truly enjoyed our meal, I urge that you not be tempted (as were were and did) to finish each serving of wine. You won't be hung over.. just a tad bit more than "giggly" 🙂

Our chef came out to greet us at the end of the meal which took a total of about 3 and a half hours ( you won't notice it, it seems to fly by). I called him a god. That was the only way to describe anyone that could prepare food that way.

Some complain about the price.. ok, yes our meal cost over $700.00.. but it's Victoria & Alberts!! You know that you are going to pay a hefty price ahead of time.. or at least you should. So it was well worth it in our book. We're going back next trip.. next stop, the Chef's Table.

Pros:

EVERYTHING

Cons:

None; unless you can't handle the wine portions

Review of Coral Reef - Lunch/Dinner

My sister and I dined here for dinner on 1/15. We were on the dining plan and seated shortly after our reservation. We were on the second tier, but still had a great view of the aquarium. It was great fun to watch the fish swim by while waiting for our dinner. While we were dining, a group of scuba divers swam by and waved, and it was fun to watch them explore the tank, too.

My sister had the Lobster Orecchiette Pasta, and I had the strip steak. Both meals were very good, as were the warm rolls they brought us. The highlight of the meal was by far the dessert. We shared the chocolate wave and the bailey's and jack daniels mousse-these were by far the best things we ate all week...amazing!!!!

The service was only so-so...not awful, but certainly nowhere near as good as service at some of our other meals. It took our waitress a long time to return with our check when we needed to leave, and at times I was waiting for a drink refill. It certainly did not ruin our meal, but then, my sister and I are fairly easy going people and are not hard to please.

I would love to return here again just for that Jack Daniels mousse!!!

Pros:

Aquarium view, food and DESSERTS!, cozier than I imagined

Cons:

so so service

Review of Flying Fish Cafe

Husband & I dined here in early November 2012. The food here was good, no real complaints about that. With a name like "Flying Fish" you'd expect a very large seafood selection and that was not the case. The menu mirrored California Grill so we were a tad bit disappointed we had gone out of our way (from the Polynesian that's a monorail and bus ride) to get here. What we had hoped for was a nice spread of seafood selections. We both had the scallops over risotto, and it was good.. but we had a similar dish the night prior at California Grill.. as I stated the menus were pretty much the same.. save for no sushi offerings.

If you just happen to be staying in the area of Hollywood Studios then this place is a great option to save travel time or can't get a table at California Grill. However if you want seafood, stick with Fulton's in Downtown Disney.

Pros:

Takes Dining Plan (Deluxe)

Cons:

Food just ok, not worrth going out the way

Review of Mickey's Backyard Barbecue

My family and I (my husband, 4 year old daughter and myself) wanted to go to one dinner show during our stay at Disney. We were going to pick the Hoop Dee Do musical review since we had heard so much good about it. My travel agent suggested that Mickey's Backyard BBQ, would be a much better pick for a 4 year old and that we would love this show.

So we arrived a little over an hour early (as we were advised to do) so that we would get a good seat, since it is first come, first serve. We were the second family in line and by the time we were taken out to the area where some of the character's were signing autographs and taking pictures, we were like the 4th or 5th family in line...such rude people. But we didn't bother saying anything...not Disney's fault. Well we were giving horrible seats...we were right beside the stage...literally beside it so really we couldn't see all that well. I thought that being since we were almost first in line, they would seat those people front and center.

The food was pretty good, it was hot and they came and refilled the food so that everyone could go back for more if they wanted. Free refills on beer and wine and a nice dessert selection.

The show was entertaining, would have enjoyed it much more if we would of had a better seat. Soo overcrowded though...they need to regulate the crowds better. Too many people/kids for their to be enough room for them all to get up and dance.

The characters didn't seem to want to be bothered with the kids...I didn't expect one on one time with the characters but I would have liked for my daughter to have gotten to at least be a little close to them. So since we were fighting to see the character's you really didn't get to enjoy the meal.

All of this and we just spent 2 meal choices! Never again!

Pros:

Ok food and plenty of it

Cons:

Not worth 2 meal plan choices
