Jan. 20 - Feb. 05Disney California Adventure : Disneyland ResortLunar New Year Celebration Special foods and merchandise, live performances by local community groups, and unique character meet and greet opportunities. A new World of Color pre-show called "Hurry Home," will tell the story of a Little Lantern journeying home to join its family for the Lunar New Year celebration.
Feb. 06 - Mar. 05Pixar Pier : Disney California AdventureMickey's Fun Wheel Closed for refurbishment.
Feb. 10 - Mar. 19Hollywood Land : Disney California AdventureBeauty and the Beast Sneak Peek The Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land hosts an extended sneak peek at the upcoming live action film, "Beauty and the Beast". The sneak peak will feature special in-theater effects. Props and costumes will be on display in the lobby. The film, starring Emma Watson as Belle, opens in theaters on March 17.

Nov. 03 - Jan. 07a bug's land : Disney California AdventureSneak Peek of "Coco" A sneak peek with enhanced effects of the film "Coco" will be shown in the "It's Tough to Be a Bug" Theater. The movie opens in theaters on November 22.
Nov. 10 - Jan. 07Disney California Adventure : Disneyland ResortFestival of Holidays Returns for the 2017 holiday season with special entertainment and food and beverage kiosks celebrating holiday traditions around the world.

February 2020

Mar. 19 - Opening 2020a bug's land : Disney California AdventureIt's Tough to be a Bug Closed March 19, 2018, to be replaced by the new Marvel Super Heroes area, opening in 2020.
Mar. 20 - Opening 2020a bug's land : Disney California AdventureMarvel Super Heroes-Themed Land The Guardians of the Galaxy will be joined by Spider-Man and the Avengers in what will become a completely immersive Super Hero universe. This new land, opening in 2020, will be anchored by the Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, in the adjacent space that is currently occupied by "a bug's land." "It's Tough to Be a Bug" closed March 19; the rest of the land will close September 5.
Sep. 05 - Permanent Closurea bug's land : Disney California AdventureBug's Land Closure "A bug's land", including Flik's Fun Fair, will be closing permanently starting September 5. The area will be re-imagined as Marvel Super Heroes land, opening in 2020.
Apr. 01 - Returning in 2020Buena Vista Street : Disney California AdventureRed Car Trolley Closed for refurbishment in preparation for the opening of the Marvel Super Heroes land. The Red Car Trolley will return sometime in 2020.

Festival Marketplaces will showcase foods and beverages inspired by California cuisine. In addition, Festival-inspired menus and menu items will be available at existing restaurants. The Festival includes family-friendly seminars and culinary demonstrations, and live musical entertainment.
