runDisney fans, we know that you’ve been through a lot of registration chaos this week.
The extremely popular Disney Princess Half Marathon registration has been experiencing a lot of difficulties. However, those will all (hopefully) be resolved today!
The 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is set to take place from February 25th through March 1st. This Race Weekend includes a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, as well as the Disney Princess Fairytale Challenge for those who complete all three races.
This event is extremely popular, and registration is very competitive as runners fight for a spot in each race. However, this year’s registration has been even more intense than usual. The registration was originally supposed to take place back on June 2nd at 10 AM. However, when 10 AM rolled around, registration still had not opened.
runDisney released a statement that they were experiencing a brief delay. They said they would update everyone at 10:30 AM; however, that update did not reveal anything and told guests to wait for another update at 11 AM. That next update then shared that, unfortunately, the registration would not be taking place that day at all.
It was safe to say that runDisney fans were furious; they expected more from Disney and claimed that Disney should be aware of the extreme popularity of this event and be ready for the large influx of people on the registration website. Many people even took off work to participate in registration to try to secure their spot.
In the evening of June 2nd, runDisney apologized for the extensive delay and announced that registration would be moved to Monday, June 8th, at 10 AM, which is today! So if you missed this news and you’re looking to register for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, you need to be ready to register today at 10 AM.
