Next month, something new is coming to our favorite streaming service. The record-breaking Pixar film Hoppers will be available to stream on Disney+!
The family-friendly animated film Hoppers will begin streaming on Disney+ on June 3rd. The movie premiered in March 2026 and grossed a worldwide total of $386 million, making it the highest opening for an original Pixar film since Coco, and the highest opening for an original animated film since 2020.
Hoppers stars Piper Curda as Mabel, who has previously worked with Disney on Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm and Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach 2. Bobby Moynihan of Monsters University, Inside Out, and Inside Out 2 co-stars as King George the beaver. The star-studded cast of side characters includes Jon Hamm as Mayor Jerry Generazzo, Kathy Najimy as Dr. Samantha “Sam” Fairfax, Dave Franco as Titus the butterfly, Eduardo Franco as Loaf the beaver, and Meryl Streep as the Insect Queen.
The film is directed by Daniel Chong, creator of Cartoon Network hit We Bare Bears and its spin-off film adaptation, We Bare Bears: The Movie. He’s been on the creative team of recent Pixar hits, including Turning Red,
Lightyear, Elemental, Inside Out 2, and Elio.
It’s produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, who worked on Incredibles 2, Monsters University, Toy Story 3, and the Pixar short film Sanjay’s Super Team. Hoppers features an original score by Mark Mothersbaugh of Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: Love and Thunder, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), and the Disney Channel Original Movie series Halloweentown. Jesse Andrews, screenwriter behind the Pixar film Luca, penned the movie.
