If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you need to know these ride rules that we see guests breaking by accident — a lot.

Using Your Phone
There are several attractions where using your phone is not permitted, including on Space Mountain. Using your phone can create a safety issue, so you should store your phone away while boarding. Take this as a sign to just enjoy the ride!

Touching the Water
Trust me — you do not want to stick your hand out of the boat and into the water on Disney attractions. It’s a major safety issue, and you could end up hurt. Also, it’s just water, and it’s not worth your safety or getting escorted off the attraction.

Not Removing Your Hat
When riding the “wildest ride in the wilderness” (Big Thunder Mountain), dropping in at Tower of Terror, or riding several other attractions, Cast Members give reminders to remove your hats and glasses. Now, will they not let you on the attraction until you remove it? Probably not, but they are trying to do you a favor because you could likely lose it while on the ride.

Faking Your Kid’s Height
You’ve probably heard the tales of parents gluing foam into their kids’ shoes just to be tall enough for Slinky Dog Dash, but we’re here to tell you that’s a big no-no. Height restrictions are in place for your safety, so please do not try to cheat the system.

Not Filling in the Available Space
Cast Members will often tell crowds, “Please fill in all the available space.” That means there is no longer a line. Instead, if you can look down and see the ground, you should move up. By not doing this, you’re actually making the wait time longer, so listen to our CMs and move on up.

Leaving Your Flash On
On dark rides, you will want to make sure your flash is turned off if you’re planning on taking a photo. It can ruin the effects of the ride and distract other guests. Be sure that your flash is off if you are using your phone.

On your next Disney World ride, keep these rules in mind — the Cast Members will appreciate you! For more Disney news and tips, be sure to follow us at AllEars.net.
